In order to make sure your social media photos display correctly on each platform, you must use the correct aspect ratio, dimensions, and technical requirements for each platform.

Facebook:
Image Publishing
Maximum Resolution: 2048x2048 pixels.
Supported Formats: JPEG, PNG, GIF (non-animated), and TIFF.
Aspect Ratios: Wide range to fit various post types, typically from 9:16 to 16:9.
Image Publishing
Maximum Resolution: 1080x1080 pixels for square images. Instagram supports images up to 1080 pixels in width if the aspect ratio is between 1.91:1 and 4:5.
Supported Formats: JPEG is preferred for its balance of quality and file size.
Aspect Ratios: Supports a range of aspect ratios from 1.91:1 (landscape) to 4:5 (portrait). Square images (1:1) are fully supported.
Text Publishing
Character Limits: Up to 2,200 characters per post, but Instagram truncates captions after 125 characters in users' feeds.
Carousel Publishing
Instagram also supports carousel posts through its API, allowing multiple images and videos in a single post.
Maximum Images/Videos per Post: Up to 10.
Resolution and Format: Same as single image/video posts.
Aspect Ratio: All media in a carousel must have the same aspect ratio.
