When you try to tag a Facebook page with a URL that ends in "profile.php", the tag will not be accepted by Facebook.

This is because Facebook sees these pages as profiles, not pages, due to the URL.

To avoid this issue, you need to set a username for your Facebook page. Once you have set a username, you can use that username to tag the page in Planable.

Steps:

  1. Go to your Facebook page.

  2. Click the Settings icon.

  3. Click General.

  4. Click Edit next to Username.

  5. Enter a username for your page.

  6. Click Create username.

As an alternative, after you log in to the page, follow this link and set a username.

Tips:

  • Your username must be unique.

  • Your username can only contain alphanumeric characters (Aโ€“Z, 0โ€“9) and periods (".").

  • Your username cannot contain generic terms or extensions (.com, . net).

Here is an example of how to tag a page with a username:

@[username]

For example, if your page's username is mypage, you would tag your page like this:

@mypage

  • If you are not the admin of the page you are trying to tag in your post, you can contact him/her and share this article.
