In this article, we're going to talk about how you can enable or disable direct publishing for your Instagram posts.
While you can activate Direct publishing for Posts and Reels on a creator account, we recommend having a business account to be able to access all the options available, Posts, Reels and Stories.
How to enable direct publishing
If you previously added a page that didn't meet the requirements, but have either switched the account type or connected it to a Facebook page in the meantime, you're able to "Authorize" the account in order to enable direct publishing.
Once authorized, depending on your Instagram account type, you will be able to enable direct publishing for posts, reels, and stories independently.
How to disable direct publishing
If you'd like to use Instagram's native options of audio, music library, stickers or other widgets, you'll need to disable the option of direct publishing. This will switch to publishing content through our mobile app.
When it's time for a post to be published, a notification will be sent to your mobile app. The content will be imported in Instagram, and from there you'll be able to add any of Instagram's specific features.
In your workspace, go to your Instagram page settings, and turn off the Direct publishing.
