YouTube videos

In Planable you can plan, preview, collaborate on, and schedule YouTube videos directly for your channel.

In your workspace, go to "Add pages" and select "YouTube". You'll be able to add all the channels you're the owner of.

Once you've set up your channel in Planable, you can start planning and collaborating on your videos.

Add videos from your computer or the Media Library.

You can also customize the following settings from Planable:

  • Privacy

  • Category

  • Playlist

  • License

  • Add Tags

  • Select if it's "Made for Kids"

Once you've uploaded your video, change its title and write a description. You can also trim the video or choose a thumbnail.

After all the details are set, you can schedule or publish the video directly to your channel.

Limitations for YouTube Publishing in Planable:

  • Maximum file size: 1 GB

  • Maximum video duration: up to 20 min

  • Aspect ratio: Any aspect ratio is supported

  • Frame rate: Any frame rate is supported

  • Video format: MP4, MOV, or AVI are the recommended video formats

  • Videos must comply with YouTube's Community Guidelines

  • You need to have the appropriate permissions to publish videos to YouTube using the API

  • On the Free plan you will be able to publish 1 video/ 24 hours

In Planable you can also publish YouTube Shorts by following these steps:

1. Video Length: Ensure your video is under 60 seconds.
2. Hashtag: Add the hashtag #shorts in the captions.

In this way, when you schedule your video, it will be published as a YouTube Short.

You can also select the privacy setting for your video, just like on YouTube. Choose from Public, Unlisted, and Private. Keep in mind that with Planable Video Editor, you can also crop the video within the standard aspect ratio for YouTube Shorts.
