How to choose files
There are two types of files: those used in posts and those that haven't been used yet. You can see if an asset has been used in one or more posts by filtering the media:
- "Used" files are attached to a post.
- "Unused" files are not attached to posts and will only delete the media.
⚠️ Heads up: Deleting Used files will also delete the posts they're attached to. Deleted posts cannot be recovered.
How to delete files
After applying your filters, select the files you want to delete by clicking on them, or use Select all from the bottom menu.
From the bottom menu, click the 3 dots and select Delete.
If a file is attached to a post, you'll be asked to confirm that you want to delete the post as well. Published posts are only deleted from Planable — they remain live on their platforms.
How to free up space or restore files
Deleted files are held in a Deleted folder for 30 days before being permanently removed. To remove them immediately or restore them, apply the Deleted filter.
Select the relevant files, click the 3 dots at the bottom, and choose:
- Delete permanently — frees up storage space immediately
- Restore — brings the files back (posts are not restored, only the media)
