Accessing Instagram Analytics

To access Instagram Analytics in Planable, ensure your Instagram account is a business account linked to a Facebook page.

If your Instagram account was initially connected without linking it to Facebook, you can easily authorize it within Planable to enable Analytics.

Once linked, navigate to the Analytics tab within your workspace to start tracking your posts' performance.

Key Metrics Available

Planable's Instagram Analytics provides insights into:

  • Engagement – Likes, comments, shares, and saves.

  • Reach & Impressions – Track how many people see your posts.

  • Follower Growth – Monitor your audience increase or decrease.

  • Top-Performing Content – Identify your best-performing posts based on engagement and reach.

Content Tab & Top-Performing Content

The Content Tab in Planable Analytics allows you to see a breakdown of all your published posts along with their performance data.

This section highlights your Top-Performing Content, helping you understand which types of posts resonate best with your audience.

You can also analyze each post separately, reviewing key metrics such as impressions, engagement, likes, comments, shares, and saves.

Audience Insights

This section gives you an overview of your Instagram audience’s demographics.

  • Followers Location: A heatmap shows where your followers are most active, with Top Countries and Top Cities highlighting key regions.

  • Gender & Age Distribution: See the gender ratio of your audience and their age breakdown to understand who engages with your content.

Why Might "Reach" Metrics in Planable Differ from Instagram's?

The reach metrics in Planable might not always match Instagram’s exactly due to differences in how the data is processed.

Instagram counts each viewer only once for the entire time period you’re analyzing, even if they see your content multiple times on different days. In Planable, we calculate daily reach, meaning if someone views your content today and again tomorrow, they’ll be counted once per day. This can sometimes make the reach numbers appear higher or lower compared to Instagram.

Additionally, reach includes views from ads made through the API, Facebook's ad platform, and Instagram's Promote feature, which may also contribute to variations.

Since Instagram processes data in Pacific Standard Time (PST) while Planable adjusts it to your local timezone, slight differences may also occur. These factors can explain why your reach metrics in Planable and Instagram might not always be an exact match.

Pricing

Planable Analytics is available as an add-on for your workspaces and is billed separately from your main subscription.
