Planable collects taxes on paid plans in the jurisdictions as described below. We use your address to determine which tax and tax rate is applicable to you, and we add it as a separate line item on your Planable invoice.
If you are located in a jurisdiction not listed below, Planable will not charge you tax unless there is a change to tax law or other requirements that obligates us to do so.
How do we know what tax and the amount to collect?
We use the Tax Registration Number (TRN) to determine if our customer is a business or a consumer. In certain jurisdictions, businesses are tax-exempt based on a reverse-charge scheme.
You will be asked to add your details at the checkout page* when you first subscribe to one of our plans and if we accept your TRN and the address you provided is in a jurisdiction where businesses are tax-exempt, you will not be charged tax unless there is a change to tax law or other requirements that obligates us to do so.
*If you have any trouble adding your details, please reach out to us via chat or at [email protected]
How does Planable manage tax exemptions?
Planable manages tax exemptions on an individual basis. To request a tax exemption, kindly get in touch with our customer support and send your tax exemption certificate that is valid for the jurisdiction(s) where you are located.
