If you're having trouble adding an Instagram page or reconnecting it in Planable, here are some steps to follow.

The first thing you need to do is check how you connected your page, through Instagram or Facebook. If you're unsure, you can go to the "Add pages" section in your workspace, and check the little icon next to your page, wether or not the "Facebook" logo appears or not.

Pages connected through Instagram

For pages connected through Instagram, the main think you need to check is if it's a professional account, as personal profiles are not supported.

The easiest way to confirm if that's the case is to go to your Instagram page settings >> follow this link << and check your account type.

On the left side, you want to find the "For professionals" settings. If it says "Professional account" and you have on of the 2 options below, this would confirm your account is the right type.

  1. Creator tools and controls

  2. Business tools and controls

If you have a personal profile, you'll find under the "For professionals" section "Account type and tools". You'll need to click this option or use this link and select "Switch to Professional account

Follow the steps in Instagram, and once your page is set as a professional account, come back to your workspace and try adding your page again.

Pages connected through Facebook

If you've linked your Instagram page through Facebook, there are a couple of settings you need to check to ensure everything is set as expected.

The first step is also to ensure your Instagram is a professional account (see the steps above). Once you've confirmed it's the right type of account, go through the following options.

Check the connection between your Facebook and Instagram page

The connection between the pages can sometimes be revoked and requires a review. To see if that's the case, you'll need to log into Facebook, go to the top right corner, to your personal profile settings, and switch to the Facebook page your Instagram is linked to.

Once you're switched in you can follow this link, or go to the professional dashboard --> linked accounts --> select Instagram.

If your page isn't already connected, please make sure to follow the necessary steps to connect it.

If it is already connected, please check to see if it requires a review of the connection. If it is, follow the necessary steps to complete the process.

Once you successfully reviewed the connection, go back into Planable and add or reconnect the page.

Check that Planable has access see this Instagram page

Log in to your Facebook account, and this time make sure you have your personal profile selected. Follow this link or select "Settings & Privacy" --> "Settings", then on the menu on the left side find "Business Integrations".

Under Business Integrations, you should see the "Planable" app. Select "View and edit" and see if your pages are listed. If they are, make sure you select all pages for each section. Hit save and come back to Planable to connect/reconnect your page.

If all permissions are enabled and you don't see a list of your pages, go ahead and remove "Planable" as a business Integration. Then come back into Planable and try the process again make sure you select all pages so that our app can see them and give you the option to select which ones you want to connect in your workspace.
