In this article we'll explore everything there is to know about planning, scheduling and publishing Instagram posts in Planable.
First of all, you should know that you can publish Instagram posts, reels, and stories both directly and through our mobile app (with reminders and push notifications when it's time to publish).

Instagram Direct Publishing is only available for Instagram Business Accounts. Find out here how to easily switch a personal profile to a Business page.
Make sure your Instagram Business page is linked to a Facebook page
The images and videos ratio range accepted by Instagram are:
Images | Between 4:5 and 1.91:1 and max resolution 1080px |
Videos | Between 4:5 and 16:9 (up to 60 sec.) |
Reels | 9:16 (between 3 sec.- 15 min.) |
And here are the steps to enable Instagram Direct Publishing in Planable for pages already connected in Planable:
If you already have an Instagram business page connected, go to your page settings and click on the "Authorize" button. Make sure to check the "Permission to publish" box.
When connecting a new Instagram business page a pop-up asking for "Permission to publish" will show up, make sure to check that box
Once you've done this, you simply set a date and time and schedule your posts. It will automatically publish.
If you're just adding an Instagram Business Account, after you give all the permissions when connecting it in Planable you'll be able to automatically publish. No "Authorize" necessary.
For Instagram personal profiles, creator accounts, or business accounts not linked to a Facebook page you can publish using our Mobile App.
Publishing through our Mobile App
No matter the size and format Planable will help you easily publish Instagram stories via mobile notifications. First, you'll need to create a post from our web app. Afterward, please download our mobile app and sign in. Also, see a GIF below.
Allow Planable to send Notifications, it will let you know when it's time to publish posts
Tap "Publish Now"
It will automatically copy the caption in your post
Allow Planable access to your photos, this will allow Planable to download the posts' photo to your mobile device and upload it on Instagram.
Instagram app will open
Select "Feed" or "Story"
Click "Select multiple" and select all the downloaded photos of the post
Tap "Next"
Long Press to paste the caption
Add tags, locations, and any other details.
Tap "Publish Now"
Important! If you did not enable the notifications, in the beginning, you can do this by going to Settings > Notifications > Planable > Allow Notifications.
