In this article, we'll walk you step by step on how to free up storage space.

How to choose which files to delete

First, there are two types of files: those used in posts and those that haven’t been used yet. You can see if a media file has been used in one or more posts directly on the file, as indicated below.

Or you can navigate between the "Used" and "Unused" folder. All files in the "Unused" folder haven't been attached to a post and can safely be deleted without affecting your posts in Planable.

How to delete files

The media that wasn't used in posts could just be selected and deleted as shown below.

If a file is attached to a post, you need to confirm you'll be deleting the post as well. Published posts are only deleted from Planable, they will still be live on their platforms. ‼️ If you delete a post from Planable, it can't be recovered!

How to free up space

Deleted files will be hosted in the "Deleted folder" for 30 days before being permanently deleted. If you'd like to free up space right away, go to the "Deleted" folder, select all files, and click "Delete":

How to restore deleted files

If you'd like to restore deleted files, you can do this from the "Deleted" folder within 30 days after deletion.
