How to delete files from the media library

In this article, we'll walk you step by step on how to free up storage space.

First, there are two types of files: those used in posts and those that haven’t been used yet. You can check if a media file has been used in one or more posts directly on the file, as indicated below.

The media which wasn't used in posts could just be selected and deleted as shown below.

However, it could still be recovered from the "Deleted media" folder in the first 30 days from the moment it's being removed.

Here's how you can restore the deleted media files:

You're also able to permanently delete the files.

Please note that removing a post from Planable that was already published on the social media platform itself, will not affect the post on the platforms, it will just be deleted from Planable.

Be mindful, though: if you delete a file used in a post, the post itself will also be deleted and cannot be recovered. Ensure you're certain about deleting files if you want the associated posts to be removed as well.
