How to schedule a post while creating it
After you create a post, you can save it as a draft with or without a date and time.
- Write your post and select the pages it should go to.
- Pick a date and time.
- Click Schedule to schedule it right away, or Save draft to keep it as a draft for now.
The same options menu also includes Publish now and Save as template.
💡 Pro tip: Set up a timetable to pick from your preferred posting times instead of choosing a time for every post.

How to auto-schedule approved posts
Planable can schedule posts automatically as soon as they are approved, which saves clicks when you manage campaigns. To turn this on, open the workspace approval settings and enable Schedule posts automatically on approval. Find out more about auto-scheduling on approval.
When a post with a date and time is approved, Planable schedules it immediately.
Frequently asked questions
Who can schedule posts in Planable?
Workspace members with the Publish permission can schedule and publish posts. Without it, the Schedule and Publish now options are disabled.
Can I schedule a post before it is approved?
It depends on the workspace approval workflow. With None or Optional approval, you can schedule any post. With Required or Multi-level approval, a post can only be scheduled after it is approved.
Why is the Schedule button disabled?
The most common reasons are that you do not have the Publish permission, the post has validation errors that need fixing, or the workspace requires approval and the post is not approved yet.
Can I schedule blog posts or newsletters?
Planable does not publish content on universal content pages. Plan and approve that content in Planable, then click Mark as published once it is live.
How do I change the time of a scheduled post?
Open the post and pick a new date and time. To stop it from publishing, unschedule it from the post, the date picker or the Calendar.
