Troubleshooting common issues with scheduled Facebook posts
#100 Error for Facebook post - Only owners of the URL have the ability to specify the picture, name, thumbnail or description params.
This error occurs when your website is not authorized to post to the Facebook page, this is due to security procedures put in place by Facebook to prevent unauthorized posts from external sources to be shared to your Facebook page.
To fix this please have a look at this document from Facebook: https://developers.facebook.com/docs/sharing/domain-verification
Once you've gone through the verification process, the change might not be immediate, so please have some patience, if a few hours has passed and you're still receiving the error, then try disconnecting your Facebook account from the ROP dashboard and re-adding it and test sharing again.
(#200) Permissions error: (#200) Permissions error
This error occurs when you did not give enough permissions to Planable either to post on the page that you are trying to publish or in the specific group.
We will take each issue at a time:
You are trying to publish on a page and you receive this error:
Go to Business Integrations on Facebook, delete Planable as one of the apps and then try again to add pages in Planable (find out how). When reconnecting Planable a model window will appear asking you to grant permissions for our app.
Make sure you tick all the boxes for all the pages you're managing and give Planable the right to "post content on your behalf" to schedule & publish posts.
You are trying to publish in a Facebook group:
Please make sure you're an admin of the group, as well as add Planable as an app in your group.
Go to the group's settings --> "Manage advanced settings" and select "Apps" and make sure Planable is added there. you can also remove it and re-add it making sure that you give it permissions to post in the group.
“OAuthException”, “code”: 400, “error_message”: “Your facebook account’s off-Facebook activity in turned off.”}:
This can be resolved by following the steps in this guide:
And instead of turning it off, please make sure that you turn it on.
